When most of us think of poster advertisements, we generally think exclusively of the promotional posters for movies. While posters are undoubtedly a trademark of movie promotion, poster advertisements have begun to wiggle their way into other industries. In recent months, I’ve noticed a marked increase in the number of posters I see at bus stations, gas stations and in the men’s room.
Although many people are turning to the internet as a cost effective way to market their business, the problem is that everyone has the same idea. The internet advertising market has become saturated, and most people simply overlook advertisements on the web. Placing poster advertisements in places that have heavy foot traffic and a captive audience is a marketing maneuver that is sure to having staying power.
