Bullseye! Reaching your target market

In the last blog, we discussed how you can reach your target market by advertising inside nightlife hotspots. You can easily target a certain demographic by carefully choosing which bars and clubs to advertise in, and a captive audience is more likely to view your ad several times throughout the night. Dartboard advertisements are unique forms of nightlife advertising. Whether they’re print advertisements or full motion ads on color LCD screens, dartboard advertisements easily catch the attention of dart players in bars and taverns.

Not only are they eye-catching, but they ensure that a consumer is exposed to the advertisement for however long they play darts – up to 30 minutes, on average. Dartboard advertisements can also increase word-of-mouth advertising, since people waiting for their turn to throw darts may discuss the ad and tell their friends about it later. It can also help you reach another niche market within the nightlife market: people between the ages of 21-50 who have disposable income and like to play competitive games. For example, if you’re a company that sells energy drinks or video games, this is an especially great form of advertising for you!

Recognizing nightlife potential

One of the keys to advertising success is identifying your target market and finding a way to effectively advertise to that group. One of the most sought-after markets is people between the ages of 21-50 who have disposable income. What better way to ensure that you reach this group than to invest in nightlife advertising?

Advertising inside a hot nightlife spot ensures that young professionals will see your ad, and as a captive audience inside the venue, they’re more likely to look at it more than once and be able to recall it later. Also, nightlife advertising gives you the freedom to choose specific locations in which to advertise depending on your target market. You can target sports fans by advertising in a sports bar, college kid by advertising in a popular bar near a university, and high-income professionals by choosing a high-end lounge in a well-to-do area. The options are endless!

Word of Mouth Works!

The most powerful tool in a business’s advertisement repertoire is word of mouth. When information about a business, large or small, passes from consumer to consumer, the consumer is far more likely to inquire about the business at a later date. After all, who would we trust more, our friend talking to us, or a billboard downtown? Word of mouth is one of the more powerful small business promoting techniques. There are a lot of ways to get consumers to start talking about a business, however, just ‘existing’ often doesn’t cut it. One of the best promotion tools is to offer a discount on products, have a sale, or even offer free products or services for a limited time. It’s also important that consumers have good vibes about the business, after all, no one is going to recommend the business to the friend if it’s no good.

Be sure to target the right consumers for word of mouth advertisement, always play to the target audience for a product or service, and don’t bother going after those who might just have a fleeting interest.
